Dr Neil Astill

Dr Astill graduated from the University of Queensland in 1972, he undertook general residency in Townsville, General Practice in Winton and Anaesthetist to the Flying Surgeon Service at Longreach Queensland. He then travelled to South Africa as registrar in Anaesthetics and Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Edendale Hospital. His obstetric and gynaecological training continued at Townsville General Hospital, Queensland and he completed training at Hull Women’s Clinic, England.

Dr Astill worked at the Royal Women’s, Princess Alexandra and Mater Mothers’ Hospitals in Brisbane and started Private Practice in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in 1982. He achieved the FRANZCOG in 1982 and FRCOG in 1994. In 2019, he graduated with Excellence in Masters in Reproductive Medicine with the University of New South Wales.

Dr Astill is a member of the CHA Global City Fertility International IVF research committee and a current member of the Australian Menopause Society, Australian Gynaecological Travellers’ Society, The British Society of Paediatric & Adolescent Gynaecology and the City Fertility Medical Directors Group. Currently he is the Medical Director of City Fertility Centre Southside, Toowoomba, Gold Coast and First Step Fertility.
