Dr Shehnarz Salindera

Dr Salindera is a highly experienced specialist Breast and Melanoma Surgeon. She holds fellowships in breast surgery and reconstruction, as well as melanoma and surgical oncology, completed at North Shore Hospital, Melanoma Institute Australia, and Westmead Breast Cancer Institute. She also holds a Graduate Diploma in Advanced Breast Surgery from the University of Sydney and a Master of Surgery from the University of Oxford.

After completing her training in Sydney and Oxford, Dr Salindera established her practice in Coffs Harbour, Northern New South Wales, where she grew up. She is passionate about empowering women and improving access to high-quality breast cancer care, particularly for patients in regional communities. This commitment has led her to be an innovator in rapid recovery following breast surgery, modern localisation techniques such as magseed with research protocols published in this field. She is involved with a number of clinical trials in Breast Cancer as a member of Breast Cancer Trials Group, ensuring her patients have access to the latest treatments.

Dr Salindera is also involved in medical education as a lecturer with UNSW Medical School and is involved in the training of surgical trainees for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. She is also a dedicated volunteer with organisations such as Tour de Cure Australia and serves as a Board Member of the Mid North Coast Local Health District Governing Board.

Dr Salindera provides outpatient consultations at the Coffs Harbour Breast Clinic, located at 15 Duke Street, Coffs Harbour. She accepts referrals for both public and privately insured patients for breast cancer, melanoma, and aesthetic breast surgery, and offers surgical services in both the Coffs Harbour and Gold Coast regions.
