Mr Brett Jackson

Mr Brett Jackson completed his fellowship overseas including lower limb fellowships in the UK, having worked in Oxford, Cambridge and South West London (SWLEOC).

At Oxford, Mr Jackson obtained great experience in joint revision surgery (including tantalum metal reconstructive and femoral replacement technologies), hip resurfacing, hip arthroscopy and unicompartmental knee replacement.

In Cambridge, the main focus was on sports knee injuries, arthroscopic multi-ligament reconstruction and knee replacement surgery. SWLEOC was an elective hospital focusing on computer assisted knee arthroplasty, soft tissue reconstruction and research.

Hip:

• Arthroplasty - total primary, revision and resurfacing

• Arthroscopy - related to femoroacetabular impingement and sports injuries

Knee: 

• Arthroplasty - total primary, revision and unicompartmental (Oxford) replacement. Computer assisted navigation surgery and research 

• Arthroscopy - meniscal repair/resection, soft tissue reconstruction (anterior and posterior cruciate and collateral ligaments), microfracture techniques and chondrocyte implantation. Sports knee focus

• Patellar instability

• Patellar resurfacing

Ankle: 

• Ankle joint instability

• Ankle arthroscopy

Shoulder:

•  Arthroscopy - subacromial decompression/RCR/SLAP tear treatment

Trauma: 

• All aspects of upper and lower limb trauma surgery (excluding spine)
