Dr Damian Smith is committed to providing high quality, caring and personalised orthopaedic care to the Canberra community and surrounding districts.

Dr Smith is a graduate of the University of Sydney. He completed his orthopaedic training in 2008 after working across a range of rural and metropolitan locations. Dr Smith was then selected to train in Australia and the United Kingdom in internationally recognised fellowships in hip and knee joint replacement surgery, arthroscopic knee surgery and paediatric orthopaedics.

Dr Smith is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons and a member of the Australian Medical Association and Australian Orthopaedic Association. He enjoys participating in the education and training of junior and future surgeons, and has an interest in all developments in the field of orthopaedic surgery – whether it be through prosthetic joints, robotics or new surgical methods.

Dr Smith is a SRC accredited Master Surgeon in Joint Replacement.

Dr Smith focusses on hip and knee joint replacement surgery, sports injuries, arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery. He is trauma trained and runs a regular orthopaedic clinic at The Canberra Hospital.
