Dr Gareth Lloyd graduated from medical school at the University of Nottingham (UK), where he also earned a First-Class Honours degree in Medical Sciences. Dr Lloyd undertook higher ENT surgical training in London, honing his expertise at institutions such as the Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospital, Great Ormond Street, and Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospitals.
Dr Lloyd is an accomplished ENT surgeon specialising in paediatric conditions related to the airway, throat, nose, ear and hearing. He welcomes consultations for children and the entire family, providing comprehensive care and expertise.
His dedication to paediatric care led him to pursue further specialist training, completing a two-year fellowship at Queensland Children’s Hospital, where he now holds a public appointment, focussing on the care of children with a broad range of ENT conditions including outreach services to regional and remote Indigenous communities.
Beyond his clinical practice, Dr Lloyd actively contributes to medical education, imparting knowledge to medical students, nursing staff, and aspiring surgeons. He has published on various otolaryngology topics and been invited to present at national and international conferences.
Now that Dr Lloyd has settled in Brisbane, he enjoys cycling, running and spending time with his young family.
