Dr Lee Forman is a dual-trained specialist physician with fellowships in both Infectious Diseases and General and Acute Care Medicine, conferred by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2024.
Born and raised on the Gold Coast, Dr Forman first studied Pharmacy at Griffith University, completing his Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science and Master of Pharmacy. He then pursued medicine, graduating with a Doctor of Medicine from Griffith University in 2015. His unique background as a Clinical Pharmacist provides him with comprehensive expertise in medication and chronic disease management.
Dr Forman has accumulated over 17 years of experience within Queensland Health completing his specialist training throughout various hospitals in Southeast Queensland including the Gold Coast University Hospital (GCUH) and the Princess Alexandra Hospital. He currently practices at GCUH managing all types of General and Infectious Diseases presentations. His clinical expertise spans inpatient and outpatient care, with particular expertise in bone a joint infections, sexual health and HIV care, viral hepatitis, and Hospital in the Home services.
In recognition of his commitment to medical education, Dr Forman was awarded Clinical Educator of the Year 2024 (Queensland). He holds senior academic appointments as Senior Lecturer at Griffith University and Adjunct Associate Professor at Bond University, where he is actively involved in training the next generation of healthcare professionals.
Dr Forman accepts referrals for adult patients requiring specialist care in Infectious Diseases and General Medicine, including complex medical conditions and long-term antimicrobial therapy.
