Dr Marc Galbo

Dr Galbo is a General Physician and Geriatrician with a particular clinical interest in healthy aging, chronic disease management, orthogeriatrics, rehabilitation in the elderly, and the diagnosis and management of delirium and dementia and its associated neuropsychiatric
symptoms.

Dr Galbo had his medical training at The Princess Alexandra Hospital and at Prince Charles Hospital where he developed his interest in geriatric rehabilitation and the management of dementia with severe behavioural symptoms. Dr Galbo worked as Consultant Physician and Geriatrician in Caboolture Hospital where he worked closely with Old Aged Psychiatry in managing the complex elderly with depression, delirium and dementia, both in hospital and in Residential Aged Care Facilities.

Dr Galbo believes that taking the time to provide patient centred, holistic care is important for every patient. It is for this reason that Dr Galbo places a high emphasis on the importance of early diagnosis and management to maintain a person’s independence and dignity.
Dr Galbo is affiliated with The Royal Australian College of Physician (RACP), Australia and New Zealand Society of Geriatric Medicine (ANZSGM) and the Australian Medical Association (AMA).

Dr Galbo is an Associate Lecturer for University of Queensland School of Medicine and is heavily involved with teaching medical students
in hospitals.
