Dr Medhat Ilias is an accredited Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who provides consultations and performs surgical procedures for both private and public patients.
His practice encompasses all obstetrics and gynaecology conditions, providing expert care for women at all stages of life.
Dr Ilias graduated from Cairo University with Honours in 1995, passed his United States Medical Licence Examination in 1999 followed by a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Auckland University in New Zealand in 2003 when he commenced training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Dunedin and Christchurch hospitals. He completed his training, and undertook additional training year in minimal access surgery and urogynaecology, at Lyell McEwin Hospital in South Australia and obtained his FRANZCOG Fellowship in 2011.
Medhat has a particular interest in minimally invasive surgery and can treat most gynaecological conditions by laparoscopy (keyhole) or hysteroscopic approach, including:
