Gynaecology

Assoc. Prof Blumenthal is an experienced Obstetrician & Gynaecologist practising in the North Western Suburbs of Sydney.

He has particular interests in laparoscopic surgery where he trained with Professor Bruhat in France and Dr Ray Gary in England. Assoc. Prof Blumenthal is a foundation member of the Australian Gynaecological Endoscopy Society (AGES). He is also a member of the Australian Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (ACCP) and the Australian Menopause Society (AMS).

  • Laparoscopic hysterectomy (surgical removal of the uterus)
  • Endometriosis (endometrial tissue growing outside the uterus)
  • Menorrhagia (heavy menstrual bleeding)
  • Uterine and vaginal prolapse (inner organs protruding or dropping into or out of the vagina)
  • Urinary incontinence (unintentional leaking of urine)
  • Uterine fibroids (benign [not cancerous] growths developing in the muscle of the uterus)
