Dr Owen Jenkins is a Queensland trained orthopaedic surgeon based in Brisbane, who is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons (RACS) and a member of the Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA).
He obtained his medical degree in the UK and completed his residency in the NHS at a large tertiary teaching hospital where he developed his passion for orthopaedic surgery. When he moved to Australia he instantly fell in love with the local lifestyle, culture, weather, and of course the people.
He completed his advanced orthopaedic training locally, obtaining FRACS while working throughout south-east Queensland, and completed his advanced training in primary and revision Arthroplasty via a local Fellowship and spent time subspecialising in foot and ankle surgery under the tutelage of Dr Terry Saxby, one of the most experienced and well-regarded foot and ankle surgeons in Australia. Owen actively participates in medical student and junior doctor education and is engaged in ongoing research projects.
Owen is committed to patient satisfaction and providing his patients with holistic care through the support of a multi-disciplinary team including general and rehabilitation physicians and allied health services.
Owen spends his down time with his young family and enjoys listening to music, reading and supporting his beloved Leeds United Football team.
