Dr Philip Danby

Dr Philip Danby is an highly experienced Nephrologist who treats inpatients and outpatients.

Graduating from Monash University with honours in 1980, Dr Danby then trained as a renal physician in Brisbane and Melbourne before gaining further experience in Leicester, U.K.

Dr Danby has been a nephrologist at Monash Health since 1990. For 25 years he held consultant positions at Eastern Health, including head of a general medical unit and as an intensive care physician.

Dr Danby continues to provide patients with general and renal medical care in a busy private practice at Knox Private Hospital.

• Diagnosing and managing patients with impaired kidney function with the aim of preserving renal function
• Caring for patients on renal dialysis and post renal transplant
• General nephrology 
• Diabetic renal disease 
• Slowing the rate of progression in chronic renal failure
