Dr Sereena Abraham

Sereena has worked in a wide range of inpatient and outpatient settings across public and private sectors, most recently at the Royal Melbourne Hospital and Northpark Private Hospital. Sereena has experience in managing a wide range of clinical presentations including mood and anxiety disorders, PTSD, psycotic disorders, bipolar disorder, OCD and grief/bereavement in both adults and older persons. Sereena enjoys working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and has an interest in the impacts of migration. She works with people who have experienced trauma in multiple settings including refugees, workplace trauma and domestic violence. Sareena continues to provide care for people on WorkCover.

Sereena provides comprehensive assesment and develops collaborative treatment plans with patients, families and other healthcare practitioners. Treatment plans may include medications, evidence based psychological therapies or a combination of both. She is also able to provide GP management plans and single assesments under Medicare item 291. Sereena has incorporated telepsychiatry into her practice and is able to provide telephone and videoconferencing consultations to suit her patient's needs.
