Dr Ahmad Torshizi completed his psychiatry training in Iran and practiced as a psychiatrist before relocating to Australia in 2011.
Dr Torshizi is thorough in his approach and takes a holistic, pragmatic and collaborative approach to assessment and management of his patients. He believes in using every opportunity possible to engage families and carers in the care of his patients, and is committed to empowering patients through education.
Using every opportunity to advocate for his patients, colleagues, trainees and the broader community, Dr Torshizi is passionate about empowering the unheard and guiding those lost in this human experience we call life.
Dr Torshizi is available to see patients at The Melbourne Clinic.
Dr Torshizi is passionate about teaching and prides himself in the ability to draw upon his vast clinical experience to teach, train, and promote education amongst his junior colleagues.
He is an Accredited Member of the Faculty of Adult Psychiatry within the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP), and is involved with a number of committees within the RANZCP.
