Dr Tauqeer Ahmed

Dr Ahmed is a geriatrician and general physician now caring for patients privately at Peninsula Private Hospital as well as holding a public appointment at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. He completed his MRCP in London in 2011 and continued General Medicine and Geriatric Medicine training at Cairns, Redcliffe, and Prince Charles Hospitals.

With formal qualifications and a Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in General and Geriatric Medicine Dr Ahmed believes in providing holistic personalised care for his patients.

Dr Ahmed maintains an active interest in teaching and clinical research and is an accredited supervisor for advanced trainees of RACP, an examiner for fellowship exams, and a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland.  He is a member of the American Geriatrics Society (AGS), the Australia and New Zealand Society of Geriatric Medicine (ANZSGM), and the Royal College of Physicians UK.
