Dr William Bye

Dr Bill Bye is currently a Visiting Medical Officer at Prince of Wales Private Hospital and Alexandria Specialist Day Hospital. He is also an Honorary Medical Officer Gastroenterologist at St George Hospital in the Inflammatory Bowel Disease service. 

He completed his Gastroenterology training at Prince of Wales and St Vincent’s Hospitals. He completed a fellowship in Inflammatory Bowel Disease at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford, United Kingdom. He has published articles in international peer reviewed medical journals on Inflammatory Bowel disease and general gastroenterology. He was the previous recipient of the Gastroenterology Society of Australia Travelling Scholarship award.

Dr Bye is the current Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee at Alexandria Specialist Day Hospital. He is committed to ongoing teaching and has lectured at Notre Dame University Medical School, University of New South Wales medical school, has contributed online lectures to a Masters of Medicine at University of Sydney and is actively involved in teaching basic physician trainee’s preparing for specialist exams at Prince of Wales Hospital. Dr Bye continues to actively participate in research currently.
