Dr Yogananda Ballekere

Dr. Yogananda Ballekere is a Consultant Psychiatrist who works primarily at Northpark Private Hospital. He has worked in the Public sector for 13 years as Consultant Psychiatrist with Northwest Aged Persons Mental Health Program, Melbourne. His current work involves both outpatient consultations and in-patient work at Northpark Private Hospital.

He is the Director of the Older Persons Mental Health Program at Northpark Private Hospital, which is a multidisciplinary team comprising of clinical psychologists, neuropsychologists, occupational therapists, social workers, diversional therapists and a registrar in psychiatry.

Dr. Ballekere completed his qualification both in India and in Australia. He has an advanced certificate in Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) from New York State Psychiatric Institute, New York. He has served as Director of ECT at Sunshine Hospital for 8 years.

Speaks English, Hindi, Kannada and Tamil.
