Dr Aongus O’Brolchain

I completed my medical training in Ireland before relocating to Australia, where I undertook advanced physician training and subspecialty training in endocrinology on the Gold Coast. I hold dual fellowships in endocrinology and general medicine.

I provide comprehensive care across all areas of endocrinology, with particular interests in diabetes and cardio-renal-metabolic health, men’s health and andrology, bone and mineral disorders, thyroid disease, and pituitary and adrenal conditions. I regularly manage patients with complex or multisystem disease, drawing on broad general medical expertise. I also have a special interest in preventative health.

I am a lecturer with Griffith University and maintain an active academic and research profile, with publications across diabetes, osteoporosis, and pituitary disease. I am involved in clinical trials and research focused on improving cardiovascular and metabolic outcomes.

I currently practise at Gold Coast Private Hospital and Gold Coast University Hospital.
