Dr Aongus O’Brolchain

Dr Aongus O’Brolchain is a specialist in Endocrinology and General Medicine. He completed his medical training in Ireland before relocating to Australia, where he undertook advanced physician training and subspecialty training in endocrinology on the Gold Coast. He holds dual fellowships in endocrinology and general medicine.

Dr O’Brolchain provides comprehensive care across all areas of endocrinology. His particular interests include diabetes and cardio-renal-metabolic health, men’s health and andrology, bone and mineral disorders, thyroid disease, and pituitary and adrenal conditions. He frequently manages patients with complex or multisystem conditions, drawing on his broad expertise in general medicine, and has a strong interest in preventative health.

He is a lecturer with Griffith University and maintains an active academic and research profile, with publications in diabetes, osteoporosis, and pituitary disease. He is also involved in clinical trials and research aimed at improving cardiovascular and metabolic outcomes.

Dr O’Brolchain currently practises at Gold Coast Private Hospital and Gold Coast University Hospital.
