Dr Leshni Pillay

Dr Leshni Pillay is a caring and highly trained gastroenterologist and hepatologist with a special interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis). She takes pride in providing personalised, evidence-based care for patients with a wide range of digestive and liver conditions.

Dr Pillay holds a Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and certification in gastroscopy and colonoscopy. Most recently, she undertook a dedicated IBD fellowship at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, where she gained experience in managing complex cases, trained in intestinal ultrasound, while contributing to clinical trials and research.

Dr Pillay is actively involved in medical education and research while undertaking her PhD with Royal Melbourne Hospital and University of Melbourne. She also has a passion for global health and currently is an active volunteer with ANZGITA to support gastroenterology services in the Pacific.
