Dr Poh See Choo

Dr Poh See Choo is a Medical Oncologist, consulting, admitting and caring for patients at Sunnybank Private Hospital.

After completing her MBBS degree at the University of Queensland in 1991, Dr Poh See Choo decided to take up the challenge in the rapidly expanding world of medical oncology.

She spent three years training at the Mater Hospital Brisbane and Royal Brisbane and Women Hospital where multiple multidisciplinary clinics including Gynaecologic-oncology, Head and Neck, Breast and Gastrointestinal clinics were conducted with teams of surgeons, radiation oncologists and medical oncologists. She has also worked in the Haematology and Bone Marrow Transplant unit at Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

She enjoys the challenge of managing all solid organ malignancies but has special interest in colorectal and breast cancers. She participates in clinical trials at the Greenslopes Private Hospital and has a special interest in genomic testing and personalised targeted therapy.

She feels privileged to be able to help her patients with their treatments and individual journey.

She has admitting rights to several Brisbane south hospitals, where she provides tailored chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments targeted to the individual needs of her patients.

She is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physician and a member of Medical Oncology Group of Australia (MOGA).
