Dr Samuel Scaife

Dr Samuel Scaife is an Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist interest in hip and knee joint replacements, sports knee reconstruction, and complex extremity trauma. 

Dr Scaife completed his orthopaedic training here in Queensland and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons. He undertook dedicated arthroplasty training at QEII Hospital as part of his transition to practice. 

He performs minimally-invasive anterior hip replacements and is a certified robotic knee surgeon across the ROSA, VELYS and MAKO platforms. His practice covers a range of specialised procedures including joint replacement, revision surgery, ACL reconstruction, meniscus repair and preservation, and knee osteotomies. He also offers non-operative treatments including corticosteroid injections, platelet rich plasma therapy, and radiofrequency ablation.

Dr Scaife operates privately across Brisbane Private Hospital and holds dual public appointments at both QEII Hospital and Redlands Hospital. He is an associate lecturer at University of Queensland and Griffith University. 

Outside of surgery, Dr Scaife has competed across multiple sports, including ultra-endurance races, an extreme triathlon in Alaska and hiking in the Himalayas of Nepal. He is passionate about all things sport, recovery, and rehabilitation.
