Dr Scott Walker is an experienced Gynaecologist with a unique background as a former physiotherapist. He draws on this additional experience to provide holistic care, particularly in the management of pelvic pain.
Dr Walker understands the far-reaching impact of chronic pain and abnormal periods and bleeding on every aspect of a woman’s life and is committed to addressing these challenges with empathy and evidence-based treatment. He is also a strong advocate for his patients, ensuring their voices are heard in a healthcare system that can sometimes feel overwhelming.
He has additional experience in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery and Hysteroscopic Surgery, allowing him to combine surgical expertise with a deep understanding of pain management. Known for his meticulous and thoughtful approach in the clinic and operating theatre, Dr Walker prioritises safety, precision, and the best possible outcomes for his patients.
He manages the full spectrum of gynaecological concerns, from menstrual and bleeding disorders to chronic pelvic pain. His particular interest lies in the treatment of pelvic pain conditions, including endometriosis and adenomyosis, where he combines evidence-based medical therapies with minimally invasive, Laparoscopic surgical options.
In addition, Dr Walker provides comprehensive care for women with complex gynaecological conditions. He has expertise as a Certified Colposcopist, and the management of abnormal Cervical screening results, as well as treating Vulval and Vaginal issues such as Vulvodynia, Pelvic Floor Muscle pain and spasm, painful sex, abnormal cells of the vulva and Lichen Sclerosus.
Dr Walker has a strong focus on the holistic treatment of pelvic pain, including both surgical and non-surgical treatments and multidisciplinary care approaches, for Endometriosis.
Helping patients return faster to normal life, Minimally invasive, Laparoscopic ( Key-hole) surgery is a passion of Dr Walker’s.

BACKGROUND:
Worked and trained in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Townsville and Tasmania, before returning for further advanced training at Gold Coast University Hospital.
Since 2022, Dr Walker has been a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Logan Hospital and a Visiting Consultant at Beaudesert Hospital, reflecting his commitment to supporting women outside metropolitan centres. He currently serves as the Colposcopy and Vulval Disorders Lead Gynaecologist at Logan Hospital.
Originally from regional Queensland, he places high value on improving access to specialist care for women in rural and regional communities.
Honorary Assistant Professor at Bond University, actively involved in training the next generation of doctors, and up to date, evidence based practice of medicine.
