Dr Stephen Kent

Dr Stephen Kent is an Australian-trained orthopaedic surgeon with subspecialty expertise in hand, wrist and microsurgical reconstruction, including nerve and tendon repair, trauma surgery, and complex upper limb conditions. He is passionate about delivering precise, evidence-based care tailored to each individual — helping patients regain movement, comfort, and the ability to return to the activities that matter most.

He completed orthopaedic surgical training through the Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA) across hospitals throughout Queensland and was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS). He subsequently undertook two post-training fellowships:

• Hand & Wrist Surgery – Gold Coast University Hospital

• Upper Limb Surgery – Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane

Dr Kent consults privately at the Mudgeeraba Hand Clinic, providing care to patients from across the Gold Coast, Northern New South Wales and surrounding regions. He is proud to offer high-quality, subspecialised care in an approachable and collaborative environment.
