Mr Altay Altuntas

Mr Altay Altuntas is an internationally recognised orthopaedic surgeon with a particular focus on surgery of the knee.
He graduated from the University of Melbourne Medical School and completed his training in orthopaedic surgery with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons followed by a further three years of advanced specialist orthopaedic training in London where the focus of his fellowship training was in knee reconstruction and replacement surgery.

Altay has worked with Europe’s leading knee surgeons, publishing research on partial knee replacement and performing robot assisted knee replacement. He also completed advanced training in hip, foot and ankle surgery in London. He has an academic appointment with the University of Melbourne and has a public appointment at St Vincent’s Hospital.
