Dr Amanuel Tesfai

Dr Amanuel Tesfai is a Consultant Respiratory and Sleep Disorders Physician. Dr Tesfai obtained his fellowship with The Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2007. He undertook his further advanced training in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine at Monash Medical Centre and the Western Hospital. Dr Tesfai has been working privately in the Bayside area since 2009. He has extensive experience in the management of respiratory disorders including chronic cough, Asthma, COPD, lung cancer, respiratory infections, Bronchiectasis etc.

Dr Tesfai also has a particular clinical interest in Sleep Disorders and performs both home and hospital based Sleep Studies. He is also a General Physician and provides inpatient care at Holmesglen Private Hospital, and other local Private Hospitals.

Dr Tesfai is the Director of Holmesglen Lung Function Laboratory, located at Suite D1 at Holmesglen Private Hospital. Patients referred to this service will be reviewed by Dr Tesfai or his respiratory colleagues.

Dr Tesfai is a current member of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, the Thoracic Society of Australia and New Zealand and Australian Association of Consultant Physicians.
