Dr Amir Zangiabadi

Dr Amir Zangiabadi is a Consultant Respiratory Physician who currently has a public appointment in Respiratory Medicine at Monash Health and carries out private respiratory admissions at Holmesglen Private Hospital.

He completed his training at Flinders Medical Centre and The Royal Adelaide Hospital and undertook a fellowship in Intensive Care Medicine at Monash Health. He gained further experience in the field of lung cancer and pleural diseases by completing a clinical fellowship in Interventional Pulmonology at Glenfield Hospital in Leicester, UK.

His particular clinical interests are in minimally invasive methods of staging/diagnosing lung cancer and management of pleural infection and malignancies. He undertakes in-room performance of Chest Ultrasound and has access to Endobronchial Ultrasound (EBUS) and Tunnelled Pleural Drain insertions for management of refractory pleural effusions.

He is also experienced in diagnosis and management of common respiratory conditions including Cough, Asthma, COPD, Bronchiectasis and Interstitial Lung Disease.

Dr Zangiabadi originally came from Iran and is fluent in English and Farsi.
