Dr Andrew Ong

Dr Ong is a Breast, Endocrine and General surgeon with 15 year’s experience. He introduced oncoplastic breast surgery techniques into the local area and made significant contributions to breast oncology model of care with the redevelopment of the new Campbelltown Public Hospital.

He has been instrumental in bringing into Macarthur cutting edge technology to breast surgery including real-time intra-operative tissue perfusion cameras (the SPY device), Breast ultrasound techniques and wireless localisation techniques (SCOUT and Pintuition) as well as being involved with teaching at all levels from medical students to senior surgical registrars. He launched the endocrine surgical unit at the public hospital and has grown the Breast Surgery unit to now the largest in SWSLHD.

He is frequently called upon to provide expert opinions for Breast & Endocrine medicolegal cases and is a Key Opinion Leader for Johnson & Johnson MENTOR Aesthetic division, KCI/Solventum and Motiva LifeHealthCare aesthetic division.

Dr Ong is appointed at Campbelltown Private, Sydney Southwest Private and Campbelltown Public Hospital.
