A/Prof Andrew Teichtahl

Associate Professor Andrew Teichtahl is a consultant Rheumatologist who focusses on connective tissue disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, vasculitis and polymyalgia rheumatica. A/Professor Teichtahl has a keen research interest in musculoskeletal diseases, including osteoarthritis and back pain, where he has a strong international profile and has held academic appointments at both Monash University, La Trobe University and the Baker Institute.

He has been an invited speaker at both national and international conferences, including the American College of Rheumatology. Combining both clinical practice and research has enabled A/Professor Teichtahl to be at the forefront of current trends and rheumatology practice.

A/Professor Teichtahl has a public appointment at the Alfred Hospital and has a private practice servicing the care needs of the Eastern and South Eastern Melbourne suburb.

All patients are required to have a current referral.
