Dr Anh Tran-Nam

Dr Anh Tran-Nam is passionate about providing comprehensive and integrated care to older people. Focussing in aged care was in part inspired by witnessing her own family’s dedication in caring for her frail grandparents, two of whom suffered from severe dementia. Dr Tran-Nam strongly believes in person-centred care, taking time to understand individuals and their families in order to optimise independence, wellness, and quality of life.

She obtained a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery with Honours from the University of New South Wales in 2011. She completed her Advanced Training in Geriatric Medicine at Prince of Wales, St Vincent’s and Royal North Shore Hospitals. Dr Tran-Nam was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in Geriatric Medicine (FRACP) in 2019.

She works as a consultant geriatrician at the Northern Beaches Hospital, and is the Chair of the Northern Beaches Hospital’s Cognition Committee. She is committed to teaching and has previously held conjoint associate lecturer appointments with UNSW.
