Dr Anna Willard commenced her post-graduate medical training in Canberra in 2009. She completed her training in Neurology at The Canberra Hospital/ Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and Concord Repatriation and General Hospital in Sydney. Dr Willard also trained in the area of Epilepsy, having completed her Epilepsy Fellowship at the Royal Melbourne Hospital/ Alfred Hospital in Melbourne.
In addition to General Neurology her main interests are Epilepsy and Headache, including first seizures, unexplained blackouts, migraines, head and face pain syndromes and similar conditions.
Dr Willard is happy to advise on management of epilepsy and headache across the lifespan including before and during pregnancy.
In addition to an interest in clinical Neurology Dr Willard continues to work towards a higher academic degree with a focus on focal cortical dysplasia in epilepsy and genetic causes of focal epilepsy and is an investigator on a number of clinical trials focusing on treatment of epilepsy.
Dr Willard has completed a Masters of Headache course and is an active member of the Australia New Zealand Headache Society as well as Epilepsy Society of Australia.
