Arjun was Dux of Adelaide University Medical School. He completed his Cardiothoracic Surgical training at St Vincent’s Hospital(Sydney), Princess Alexandra Hospital (Brisbane) and fellowship at St Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver CANADA. PhD at Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute, work leading to an increase in heart transplantation numbers by 20%. Prior appointments as consultant Cardiothoracic & Transplant surgeon at the Alfred Hospital (Melbourne) and Flinders Hospital (Adelaide), prior to returning to Sydney as Cardiothoracic and Transplant Sugeon.
Arjun is a Senior Clinical lecturer at UNSW and PhD Supervisor at UNSW and Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute. He is skilled in all aspects of cardiac and thoracic surgery, with a particular interest in heart failure surgical therapy, valve repair/replacement, aortic surgery, off pump coronary surgery and minimal access surgery.
