Dr Arun Naik

Dr Arun Naik is a consultant surgeon in Colorectal Surgery working at Gold Coast University Hospital and Gold Coast Private Hospital.

Dr Naik completed his medical graduation (MBBS) in India, and his Master’s degree in General Surgery (MS). He further did advanced training /doctoral degree (MCh, Magister Chirurgiae) in Surgical Oncology. As a part of this advanced training, he had extensive experience in surgeries for lower gastro intestinal and pelvic malignancies.

Dr Naik completed his FRACS, and subsequent fellowship in colorectal surgery at the Gold Coast University Hospital and lower gastro-intestinal cancer surgery in Australia’s premier cancer centre - Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Victoria Comprehensive Cancer Centre, Melbourne.

His main area of interest is colorectal malignancies, on which he has several research publications. He also performs colonoscopies, surgeries for inflammatory bowel disorders, colonic diverticular disease, complex enterocutaneous fistulae and proctological procedures.
