Dr Aruna Muthumala

Dr Aruna Muthumala is highly trained in Acute and Internal Medicine and is a senior staff specialist at Darwin Private Hospital and Royal Darwin Hospital.

Dr Muthumala obtained his  Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in 2000. He underwent his further advanced training initially in Sri Lanka and then at Peninsula Health in Victoria, working in Portland District Health, Victoria, from 2013 to 2017.

Dr Muthumala provides in-patient and outpatient care at both at DPH and RDH and is a local examiner for Royal Australasian College of Physicians. He is also a lecturer at Finders University Medical Programme, heavily involved in the supervision, training and the medical education of doctors within the hospital.

He is well experienced in a wide range of medical conditions which helps to provide excellent clinical care to his patients.
