Dr Bala Indrajit

Dr Bala lndrajit is a urological surgeon who graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo. He obtained his fellowship training in Urology at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney. A Senior Lecturer at University of Sydney Rural School of Medicine, Dr Indrajit has pioneered and provides advanced minimal access uro-oncological operations at Dubbo Hospital over the past 10 years. He has a great passion and interest in surgical education of his junior staff, the medical students and surgical registrars in training.

His special interest and expertise include laser treatment for renal stone disease and laser treatment for benign prostate enlargement. His practice Greater Western Urology covers all general urological procedures including vasectomy, scrotal pathology, renal stones and urological malignancies.

His practice covers urological malignancies including minimal access (laparoscopic) procedures and robotic assisted laparoscopic procedures for prostate and kidney cancers. Dr lndrajit has special interest and expertise in laser treatment for kidney and bladder stones, and green light laser treatment for benign prostate enlargement and obstruction.

Dr lndrajit has been practicing in the Orana Region and Midwest NSW over the last seven years. In this period he has pioneered the introduction of laser treatment for stones, Laparoscopic Nephrectomies and Radical Prostatectomies for prostate cancer at Dubbo Base Hospitals.
