Dr Bardia Taghavibayat is a consultant physician and graduated with an M.D. degree in 2003. He completed his advanced training in Medical Oncology in Victoria and has had experience at several oncology units including St Vincent Hospital, Olivia Newton John Cancer and research Institute at the Austin Hospital and Eastern Health. He worked as a clinician in clinical trial units in different centres.
Bardia is currently a consultant oncologist at Eastern Health, Epworth, Holmesglen and Knox Private hospitals.
He is a Fellow of Royal Australasian College of Physician (FRACP) and a member of American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO) and Medical Oncology Group of Australia (MOGA).
He published multiple scientific papers in international medical journals, and he has major interest in clinical research.
Dr Taghavibayat works with other health professionals to be able to provide multi-disciplinary approach to all his patients and attend multidisciplinary team meeting (MDT). He has extensive experience in novel therapies such as immunotherapy and targeted therapies and he provides the most appropriate treatment options for his patients, in particular combination of immune therapy or targeted therapy for the right patients so that durable control of cancer may be achieved with minimal side effects.
