Dr Ben Dundon is an Interventional Cardiologist, focussing on the investigation and management of coronary artery disease and chest pain syndromes.
Ben completed his advanced training in cardiology in 2005, before undertaking a PhD in advanced cardiac imaging utilising Cardiac MRI. During his PhD, Ben was awarded the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand post-graduate research scholarship as well as the prestigious National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) / National Heart Foundation of Australia (NHF) post-graduate research scholarship. Ben was awarded further research funding through the Cardiovascular Lipid Research Grants, as well as grant support from the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Institute of Medical and Veterinary Sciences for his academic work.
Ben then completed a 2-year Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Monash Medical Centre as well as Fellowship training in Cardiac CT, receiving further research support through the Royal Australasian College of Physicians / Foundation for High Blood Pressure Research. Ben continues to contribute to translational research studies within MonashHeart and the Monash Cardiovascular Research Centre, and has numerous peer-reviewed publications in major international Journals.
