Dr Bilel Jideh

Dr Bilel Jideh is an Australian trained consultant gastroenterologist having completed a Bachelor of
Medical Science (First-class Honours) and Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (Honours) at the University of Sydney.

He trained in gastroenterology at major tertiary teaching hospitals in Sydney before undertaking two years of training in advanced endoscopy at the world-renowned endoscopy unit at Westmead Hospital, Sydney, under the supervision of Professor Michael Bourke and colleague expert endoscopists.

During this period Dr Jideh gained expertise in:

• Complex polypectomy and endoscopic mucosal resection
• Treatment of Barrett’s oesophagus
• Endoscopic Ultrasound (gastro-oesophageal and pancreaticobiliary)
• Balloon enteroscopy
• Small bowel capsule endoscopy.

He has a background in clinical research and teaching. Having completed multiple research projects and is currently a Senior Lecturer of the University of Sydney.

Dr Jideh has an interest in all aspects of gastroenterology, hepatology and advanced gastrointestinal endoscopy, and is passionate about delivering high-quality care that ensures the best possible patient outcomes.

He is a Visiting Medical Officer (VMO) at Nepean Public Hospital and Nepean Private Hospital.
