Dr Brendan Smith

Brendan Smith is a general adult psychiatrist, practicing as a consultant psychiatrist since 2017. He obtained his medical degree at the University of Sydney in 2009 and completed specialist psychiatry training through the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP). 
 
Dr Smith has worked in a wide variety of roles in adult psychiatry, both public and private, inpatient and outpatient. He has held the position of Acting Clinical Director at the Northern Beaches Community Mental Health Service (NBCMHS) very recently. He has worked for a number of years in dual diagnosis psychiatry, treating persons with primary mental illness and comorbid substance abuse disorders. He has also provided expert opinion reports for insurance and Workcover claims.
