Dr Chatika Premaratne

Dr Chatika Premaratne is a Specialist General Surgeon at Norwest Private Hospital. 

Having completed his training in general surgery as part of the Western Sydney network, he attained his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2016.  He completed further advanced training in colorectal surgery at Nepean Hospital as the inaugural Colorectal Fellow.

Subsequent to this, Dr Premaratne also completed an overseas fellowship in colorectal surgery at the Royal Devon & Exeter NHS Trust, UK, where, he was trained in laparoscopic surgery for colorectal cancers and inflammatory bowel disease, pelvic exenterations for advanced pelvic cancers, and complex abdominal wall reconstructions.
