Professor Christopher Lind has extensive experience in brain surgery, spinal surgery (including fusions), peripheral nerve, trigeminal neuralgia, brain and spine tumours, deep brain stimulation and cerebrovascular disorders.

After completing medical school in Otago, Christopher began training in neurosurgery in Auckland and completed in Perth in 2006. He was appointed full-time consultant in 2007 at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital where he has worked ever since, now part time combined with paediatric neurosurgery at Princess Margaret Hospital and in private practice. He has spent time in Bristol and Oxford, UK studying functional neurosurgery, and was seconded to the University of Western Australia as Professor in 2010.

He is recognised as one of the most productive neurosurgical academics in the country with a busy research group now based at the new Sarich Neuroscience Research Institute. In 2013 he became Director of Neurosurgical Training for WA and a member of the bi-national training board for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.

In 2014 he was voted a Director of the Neurosurgical Society of Australasia and was voted President in 2016. In 2016 Professor Lind started private practice at St John of God Subiaco Hospital joining some of his original mentors: Professor Bryant Stokes, Professor Neville Knuckey, Mr Peter Watson and Mr John Liddell.

Prof Lind operates at Mount Hospital.
