Dr David Burgess

Dr David Burgess is a cardiologist in private practice and Head of Cardiology, Director of Interventional Services and Director of Cardiology Training at Blacktown Hospital.

Dr Burgess completed Royal Australasian College of Physicians training at Royal North Shore Hospital and the John Hunter Hospital. He then was awarded a Cardiac Society Research scholarship to commence his PhD at the NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre into improving outcomes for patients undergoing complex cardiology procedures.

After successfully gaining his PhD and Masters in Public Health from The University of Sydney he returned to clinical work at Westmead Hospital completing a Postgraduate fellowship in coronary artery intervention.

Dr Burgess focuses on improving outcomes for all patients with a cardiology issue across all areas.
