Dr Dilan Jayawardena

Dr Dilan Jayawardena is a Rehabilitation Physician, providing comprehensive rehabilitation medicine services in the Sydney metropolitan area.

He graduated from the University of Otago (N.Z.). He has had extensive experience in general medicine before completing his Fellowship in Rehabilitation Medicine with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP).

Dr Jayawardena is also currently a staff specialist at Campbelltown Public and Camden Hospitals in the department of Ambulatory Care and a Conjoint Lecturer with the Western Sydney University School of Medicine.

He has had more than ten years’ experience in the private rehabilitation setting, working at both Metropolitan and Westmead Rehabilitation Hospitals during his training and he is currently consulting at: Hunters Hill Private Hospital; The Sydney Private Hospital; Holroyd Private Hospital and Campbelltown Private Hospital. Dr Jayawardena has been involved in the post-operative rehabilitation of patients of a number of leading Sydney surgeons. He has extensive experience with orthopaedic, musculoskeletal, neurological rehabilitation and geriatric rehabilitation/ reconditioning as well as with pain management and amputee rehabilitation.

Dr Jayawardena has certification in the use of therapeutic botulinum toxin injection for musculoskeletal spasticity
