Dr Abhi Mathew is a consultant psychiatrist with extensive experience in psychiatry & general medicine in the public & private health system in Australia since 2006.

Dr Mathew is passionate about delivering high quality, sophisticated and evidence informed treatment for his clients and their care teams. Dr Mathew trained as a general psychiatrist in Melbourne with the Royal Melbourne Hospital and presents with considerable psychiatric experience across multiple services and settings, including Youth & Adolescent, Adult, Old Age, Addiction, Transcultural, Neurodevelopmental, Emergency and Acute, Community & Rehabilitation Psychiatry.

Dr Mathew also works in public health as a Youth and Adolescent psychiatrist in a statewide service of excellence, with a special focus on early intervention and research, and a strong commitment to promoting positive health outcomes in the general population.

Dr Mathew’s areas of interests include Anxiety Disorders, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Unipolar & Bipolar Mood Disorders, Psychotic Disorders, Personality Disorders, Addiction Psychiatry/Substance Use Disorders, Neurodevelopmental Psychiatry including ADHD & ASD.
