Dr. Alistair Rowcroft is an Australian-trained General Surgeon, with extensive subspecialty training in Hepato-biliary surgery and gastro-intestinal endoscopy.
After undertaking medical school and working as a junior doctor in Western Australia, Dr. Rowcroft pursued his General Surgical training at the Royal Melbourne Hospital in Victoria. Dr. Rowcroft thereafter completed the ANZ Hepato-pancreatico-biliary (HPB) Fellowship program at St. Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne and Perth’s Fiona Stanley Hospital. To further extend his practice Dr. Rowcroft then relocated to the United Kingdom for the prestigious Liver Transplant Fellowship at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
This comprehensive training gives Dr. Rowcroft a wealth of experience in the management of complex disorders of the liver, pancreas and gall bladder. Dr. Rowcroft also manages general surgical issues, including hernias and abdominal wall reconstruction, together with benign problems of the upper gastrointestinal tract. In addition to surgery, he is an accomplished endoscopist, with expertise in gastroscopy, colonoscopy and ERCP.
