Dr Amy Correy is a generalist obstetrician/gynaecologist with an interest in pelvic floor conditions, cervical dysplasia and pelvic pain. Dr Correy joined TasWomen in June 2024 and will also work as a VMO at the Royal Hobart Hospital from 2025. She has been working in the speciality since 2016 and will be awarded her fellowship in February 2025.
Amy grew up in Hobart and obtained her medical degree from the University of Tasmania in 2013. As a junior doctor she worked regionally and rurally around Australia including in Darwin and Katherine in the NT and Lismore and Cooma in NSW, before returning to Tasmania in 2018 for specialist training. Amy relocated to the Royal Women’s Hospital (RWH), Melbourne, for advanced training, where she was a leader in caring for women in one of the largest birth centres in the country. At RWH she gained further experience in obstetric ultrasound and maternal fetal medicine and trained for six months in the Pelvic Floor Unit.
Amy believes in empowering women, informed decision making and working together to achieve optimal outcomes. Hobart has always been her home and she feels privileged in being able to provide care for Tasmanian women.
