Dr Andrew Trinh is a Consultant Gastroenterologist and Interventional Endoscopist. He is currently the Head of Gastroenterology at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and an interventional endoscopist and gastroenterologist at The Royal Melbourne Hospital and The Alfred Hospital. His interests include the screening, surveillance and prevention of cancers of the gastrointestinal tract.
Dr Trinh graduated from The University of Melbourne Medical School in 2012 and was awarded The Roger Melick Prize for the highest final year mark for The Royal Melbourne Hospital clinical school. Dr Trinh then trained as a physician and gastroenterologist at The Royal Melbourne Hospital and Eastern Health. He subsequently completed his advanced specialist training in interventional endoscopy at The Royal Melbourne Hospital specialising in endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). He is also undertaking a PhD with The University of Melbourne in pancreaticobiliary and liver conditions.
