Dr Arif Alam

Dr Arif Alam is a specialist Geriatrician and General Physician. He grew up in London and graduated in 1994 from The London Hospital Medical College (University of London) and completed his post-graduate specialist training based at the Royal Free Hospital in North West London. He worked as a full time General Physician & Geriatrician at Basildon University Hospital in England.

He moved to Australia in 2009 and joined the John Hunter Hospital as a Consultant Physician. He worked in the field of diabetes and general medicine. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and a member of the Royal college of Physicians of London, UK. His special interest, in addition to geriatric medicine, include peri-operative medicine and diabetes.

He currently works as The Head of Department in General and Acute Care Medicine at Liverpool Hospital.
