Dr Atandrila Das

Dr Das is based in Melbourne and provides both general and colorectal surgery. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) and a member of the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSSANZ), with a focus on minimally invasive and personalised surgical care.

She graduated with First Class Honours from the University of Melbourne and completed her general surgery training in Melbourne in 2018. She then undertook further training in colorectal surgery, including an Advanced Robotic Fellowship at Oxford University Hospitals in Oxford, UK.

Dr Das regularly presents at major conferences and is currently completing a PhD in personalised medicine for metastatic colorectal cancer at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.

Dr Das’s interests include bowel cancer, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and pelvic floor dysfunction. She is accredited by the Gastroenterology Society of Australia (GESA) to perform colonoscopies and gastroscopies.

Dr Das provides surgical care locally in John Fawkner hospital, supporting general practitioners and patients across Melbourne’s northern corridor with timely access, clear communication, and individualised care. She is committed to serving the multicultural communities of the north and to developing long-term, collaborative relationships with GPs.
