Dr Chien-Ying Kao

Dr Chien-Ying Kao is a consultant physician and geriatrician dedicated to delivering exceptional care for his patients. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and a member of the New Zealand Society for Geriatric Medicine. He completed his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree at the University of Melbourne and had undergone training and specialisation in geriatric medicine at various health institutions such as St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, Western Health, and Eastern Health in Melbourne, Australia.

He believes in clear communications, fostering understanding among patients, their families and their general practitioners. He is known to be empathetic and a strong advocate for the health and welfare of his patients, promoting patient-centered care with collaborative decision-making.

He is experienced in all facets of geriatric medicine, with a particular interest in assessing complex medical issues, cognitive assessment, managing delirium, dementia, and polypharmacy. Dr Kao is fluent in English and Mandarin.
