Dr Graddon graduated from the University of Auckland in 2014 and completed his specialist training in Gastroenterology in New Zealand in 2022. He has developed a strong interest in diagnostic and interventional endoscopy, undergoing further specialist training in these disciplines after moving to Queensland, Australia. He currently works as a Staff Specialist at the Gold Coast University Hospital and is involved in the teaching and mentorship of junior doctors.
Dr Graddon has expertise in the endoscopic management of gastrointestinal conditions including colonic polyps, Barrett’s oesophagus, enteral stenting, and hepatobiliary disorders such as biliary stones and pancreatic disease. He is proficient in gastroscopy, colonoscopy, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), and Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), providing comprehensive care for both early-stage and advanced GI conditions.
With a focus on developing a therapeutic doctor-patient relationship, Dr. Graddon is committed to a patient-centred approach and uses evidence-based practice to deliver the highest quality of gastroenterological care.
Special Interests:
Diagnostic gastroscopy and colonoscopy with a focus on identification of precancerous lesions (including colonic polyps, Barrett’s oesophagus and squamous dysplasia) and their management
Pancreatic and biliary disease and their investigation and management with EUS and ERCP
Common gastrointestinal complaints like change in bowel habit, bloating, abdominal pain, reflux, swallowing issues, food intolerances, coeliac disease & iron deficiency.
