A/Prof David Colquhoun

Associate Professor David Colquhoun is an Associate Professor with the University of Queensland and a cardiologist, practising privately at Sunnybank Private Hospital, in Queensland.

With a career spanning 40 years, he has been involved in clinical practice and research in the fields of cardiology, lipids, nutrition, diabetes, obesity, nutraceutical and psychological aspects of heart disease.

He has a private clinical research unit (Core Research Group) currently active in 15 clinical trials.

He has published over 80 scientific papers with over 6,800 citations, given over 300 scientific and public talks and educational seminars nationally and internationally as invited speaker, has sat on over 80 advisory committees including the National Heart Foundation of Australia and the NHMRC Nutrient Reference Values working party, and is regularly called on to give media interviews.

He is currently a Board member of the National Heart Foundation.
